Why do you integrate Reggio with the IB PYP in CKN?

IB PYP is a supplement to Reggio's generative curriculum, to form a systematic curriculum framework.


What are Special Programs of CKN?
  • Reggio Art Program: The Hundred Languages of Children --- Atelier(Art is vital)

  • Reggio Food Education Program: Organic farm, explore the secret of cultivation

What is the expectation of parental involvement?

Parents can volunteer in the schools and we have a wonderful Parents Teachers Association (PTA), which is a fundamental part of the school community. PTA involves parents in school events, initiatives and learning opportunities.

 


Are all subjects taught in English?

Yes. Except for our language acquisition subjects (i.e. Mandarin), all subjects are taught entirely in English. Furthermore, our highly successful English support program allows us to offer an entirely English-speaking environment to the students.


Does the school offer Co-Curricular Activities?

Yes. the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) offers a wide range of after-school student activities designed to enhance and extend the school curriculum. The activities are open to all students, this program is divided into Arts & Performance, STEM, Humanities, and Sports.


How about the teacher team?

Native English speakers. Average over 10 years of teaching experience. Fully certified with Bachelor's degree and appropriate post-graduate teaching qualification. Experienced in IB and PBL.


What are the school hours?

Students at primary school attend school from 8:20 am–3:30 pm and from 3:30 pm–4:30 pm is our CCA program. 

 

What is the application procedure?

In order to help families have a more comprehensive understanding of the school, please book the school tour. Parents can visit the campus and have a face-to-face meeting with the principal to better understand the school philosophy.

Once a complete application has been submitted through Schoolpal, the admissions team will contact you with the next steps. An interview will be arranged if there are spaces available.
